I have been best friends with Elizabeth since we were 3 years old! We've talked about weddings and husbands since we were little girls, and I'm honored to have been able to do their engagement pictures!

The weather was a little yucky, and winter in Oregon isn't the prettiest time for outdoor photos, but I think we did alright regardless! ;)

I love you guys, congratulations!

oh yes, i know dolostielle did not make the photos. i just use a few to illustrate a point, as it often tells more than words.
she's also honest enough to say that she did not take the photos herself.

when i don't have personal images to illustrate well what i mean, i use other people's images.
those photographers like the fact that i use their images this way.
the link is not a gallery full of photos, but just one image; probably an error somewhere. i just checked the links and they're ok.

No no, I mean the photo of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on the set of Twilight... this photo: [link] along with all of the other photos in ~Dolostielle's gallery were not taken by her. They are photos from magazines. Here's another photo in her gallery: [link] And here is the link to Vanity Fair magazine where she took it from: [link]

It doesn't hinder the point you were making, I was just noticing that she's posting photos that aren't her own.

here, the whites are blocked because the image is too light; give it more density (darker) and everything will fall into place.

shooting under cloudy conditions might make the image too blue; you will see that more clearly when it's made darker.

i would like to give you an example of an outside picture that shows one should not be afraid to make an image darker than what we think is right, as our brain is often fooled or we don't search enough what the right adjustment should be.
when an image is made just right, for color, brightness, contrast, it will seem three dimensional, rich, and will give the feeling of looking at a scene like "through a clean window"; have a look here:

hope this helps. :-)

I will definitely take into mind your suggestions. I appreciate the time you took to write them! Although the example you gave [link] is a gallery full of photos not taken by that person, the example itself is still a good one.
