Deviousness |
there is still little bits to be done that can make it better though.
the image is a bit too contrasty, which shows in the man's hair:not enough detail, lost in the dark.
also, it makes the clothing lack some detail in the highlights.
when detail is lost in both, highlights and shadows, it's a sure sign of too high contrast.
Now, the cropping;
i would crop out a little on the left side, in order to center the image a bit better, and i would cut off below the woman's elbow in order to cut off the red garment.
by making the right adjustments, this image will be much improved.
please be aware that before you press the shutter button, you should examine carefully what you want to include in an image, and try to eliminate as much as possible what you don't want to include. Everything that does not belong or that dilutes the message should be cleaned up beforehand, because once an image is taken, there is often no good way to repair.
about exposure, you should always make sure that the exposure you will use will always capture all the necessary detail in the highlights, by not overexposing the image; highlights are more important than shadows, most of the time.
i hope this helps.
